Perpetual Silence
U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Rose Gudex, 81st Training Wing public affairs senior enlisted leader, reflects on the loss of her younger brother to suicide while at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, Aug. 28, 2025. Gudex lost her brother in 2022 while stationed overseas and shares her story to emphasize how vulnerable leadership, transparency, and checking in with others can help build trust and stronger bonds within teams, encouraging service members and families to support one another and seek help when needed.
