Ronald Lee, Nate’s grandpa and a retired Air Force master sergeant, plays football with 6-year-old Nathaniel. Ronald and Carol Lee raised their grandson after Nathaniel’s parents were killed by a drunk driver when Nate was 4 years old. Tragically, Ronald died unexpectedly in 2011, a little over two years after Nate had lost his parents.
