Edwards EUL Solar Array Project
The Air Force Civil Engineer Center, a primary subordinate unit of the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, worked with Edwards Air Force to construct a solar array at the base. The Air Force can earn more than $75.8 million throughout the lease period. AFCEC has a significant role in climate change initiatives intended to enhance resiliency at Air Force installations by addressing the risks severe weather poses to infrastructure, operational capabilities and readiness as outlined in the Department of the Air Force Climate Campaign Plan.
