'HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVED' Published Dec. 20, 2008 By Sherrie Collins Via e-mail -- In reference to the article "Man Head-butts Pit Bull, Loses Ear" (September/October 2008 issue, page 6), what a moron! He got what he deserved. Actually, he deserved to have both ears and his nose chewed on for head-butting that poor animal. I was glad to hear the dog didn't get punished for the man's foolishness and cruelty. I've read similar incidents where they end up putting the dog to sleep ... not fair! I hope the man has learned his lesson. You need to treat animals with respect and kindness.
