John Santiago Denver Via e-mail -- I really enjoyed your articles on the lightning strikes ("Lightning in a Bottle" and "Bolt from Above," March/April 2010 issue, cover stories). All of the victims appear to have been very lucky. I had a neighbor several years back who was struck by lightning while hiking in the mountains, and he wasn't so fortunate. He died alone and wasn't found until a day or two later. He left behind a wife and three young boys. Hopefully, your articles will help raise awareness, and people will seek cover during thunderstorms.
