JUST SCRATCHING THE SURFACE

Via e-mail --  There's a lot more bad stuff that goes on during TDYs than just binge drinking -- you just scratched the surface ("What Goes TDY, Stays TDY," Spring 2012 issue, page 8). But at least you're addressing it, and most of the bad stuff that happens probably starts with too much drinking in the first place.

Hopefully, your story will have the desired impact and make Airmen think twice ... but I doubt it (though it might persuade some family members to keep closer tabs on their spouses who go TDY!).
