“All Clear” Given for JBSA-Randolph Gas Leak
JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – The Randolph Fire Department issued an “all clear” for a gas leak reported near building 492, part of the Air Force Personnel Center, this morning.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., JBSA officials working with representatives from CPS Energy secured the gas line and declared the area safe.
The incident occurred around 7:15 a.m., when a front-end loader working on new building construction breached a gas pipe, causing a leak. Officials initially evacuated personnel from the construction site and building 492 as a precautionary measure. The cordon is now lifted, and members may safely return to the area. No injuries were reported.
